But there was a time when Pinhas, now 63, thought he was done with music. “In the early 1980s, I was at the point where I had nothing else to say. I was just repeating myself,” he says by phone from Montreal. “I didn’t think I’d come back, because after years away it’s very hard to return, both to playing your instrument and to the circuit.

Wayne Perkey, a radio legend in Louisville, has passed away at the age of 84-years.
Terry Meiners of WHAS confirmed Perkey’s death on his own Facebook page on Sunday after a fight with COVID-19.
Perkey was the morning host on 840 WHAS for many years.
He began working at the station in 1969 and stayed for over 30 years.
He was also a known face to Louisville residents who had grown up watching the WHAS Crusade for Children.
